My Godson and his Fiance decided a Destination Wedding In Noosa was just what they wanted, so they arranged to spend a day with me, taking a look at the many options available. They had a couple of 'must have's' on their list. Their first priority was PRIVACY for the reception, where they could let their hair down a bit and have a great party with all their friends, while ensuring the more 'mature' guests also felt comfortable. Their other priority was a Beach Backdrop. They were fairly fixed on the idea of hiring a private waterfront home for the reception, until I brought it to their attention that they were unlikely to find a property in the heart of Noosa or Sunshine Beach, where they could hold a function, so I took them on a little tour of options...
We tried the food and ambiance at The Riverdeck Restaurant at the stunning Noosa Marina, and thoroughly enjoyed the waterfront views, feeding of the Pelicans and warm welcome from Hostess Sue Baxby... my godson was particularly impressed that his steak was cooked exactly the way he likes it!
I knew their requirement was privacy for their wedding celebration in Noosa, so I then took them across the Noosa River to view Noosa North Shore Weddings
They absolutely loved the idea of having all their guests stay on the property in the cabins dotted about on the property, where all could stay and enjoy the kayaking, surfing, fishing, barbeque's, breakfasts for three days...or more!
But... there was more to see, so we headed back into the heart of Noosa, to walk Hastings street, and see what we could find... Well, loving a party, and the idea of gathering at a nightspot after the reception, while the 'mature' guests headed elsewhere, Hastings Street held a great appeal. They decided 'Laguna Grove' was their perfect ceremony site along Noosa Boardwalk, and a simple set up such as this one by Noosa Wedding and Event Hire, would be just what they had in mind.
As we went to chat about their wedding reception options at the vibrant Cafe La Monde (directly opposite the Noosa Surf Club), I realised their perfect private casual reception location might be right behind us at the now Italian Cafe 'El Capitano Pizzeria and Bar', where the exclusive Berardos Restaurant once was. Set right behind Cafe La Monde, as we took a couple of steps upwards we were immediately in the Mediterranean!
From the moment they stepped through the door, they knew this was the relaxed vibe they were seeking. Yes, the room could be booked for a function, the price was good, the ambiance amazing, and the location sensational. Even more perfect - the restaurant is a few steps away from one of Noosa's best resorts Mantra French Quarter, right in the heart of Noosa, just across the road from Noosa Main Beach.
