The Sacred Partnership Ceremony is an open declaration between two people, who do not feel comfortable committing to one another within the confines of a legal or Church based ‘marriage’, yet who wish to make a commitment to one another, and to celebrate their union as partners in life. It could also be a suitable ceremony for those who wish to commit to one another in marriage, yet due to legal or personal difficulties are not free to do so. The ceremony is an expression of a spiritual bond, yet follows the guidelines of a traditional ceremony.   The following exchange is a sample of the wording the ring exchange could take:

Partner 1:        This ring I give you as a gift of my enduring and eternal love for you. Let it serve as a reminder that my love encircles you wherever you may be.

Partner 2:        I joyfully accept your gift, and wear it proudly that the world may know and see that I am loved.  I offer you this ring as my gift to you of my enduring and eternal love.  Let it also serve as a reminder that my love encircles you wherever you may be.

Partner 1:        I accept your ring with love and gratitude, and wear it proudly that the world may know and see that I am loved.
