Jacqueline Gray - Civil Marriage Celebrant

Services - Name Giving Ceremonies

Jacqueline starts by welcoming all present, and offers an understanding of the meaning of the ‘naming’ ceremony.

Grandparents are acknowledged, as are Godparents or Guardians.  There are many beautiful readings to choose from, which can be read by Jacqueline, the parents or other family members.  The family, or everyone present, are asked to join in reading the official naming and welcoming the child to the family and wider circle of friends, and the community.  The ceremony is completed by recognising that the child is in no way inhibited from seeking religious or non-religious commitments of belief in the future, and should be presented with a balanced view of life.  Candle lighting, or gift ‘warming’ can be included in the ceremony. Certificates are provided for the child, the godparents/guardians and grandparents.
